Gene Rosellini and Chris McCandless are quite similar but also quite different. Both of these humans left home to travel and fullfill their dreams of adventure. Both of them were very smart and a good athlete. They both had very strong beliefs and had a strong passion to go and make their dreams happen. They went into the wild and both of them never came back.
Although they had a lot in common they also had a lot of things that were different about them. Chris left his family and didn't really give them much contact while Gene would constantly send letteres to his partents. Gene's dreams and passions were more about going back to the "Natural State" while Chirs was more interested in Alaska and just surving the winter.
